How to Replace Brake Fluid on Mercedes

Need to change Mercedes Benz Braking Fluid. Some people dont know but changing your Brake fluid is a good DIY, it should be done at least every 2 years. Here is what you will need: At least 5 ft of 1/4 plastic hose, such as those used on aquariums. Brake fluid 1 liter, such as CHF 11S, PRESTON etc..  a big syringe. A person to assist you. A 1 liter or greater plastic bottle. A small 10mm wrench. Nitrile Gloves. First thing you need to know is that you will be bleeding brake fluid so please wore nitriles gloves, Locate the furthest more wheel from the Braking fluid compartment, this means that if the compartment is on the front left, we will start bleeding the rear right wheel first, then rear left, then front left and finally front right. Please note thet it is not necessary to remove the wheel on your car, The image shows no wheel but its just for you to understand fully what to do. Sometimes braking system is not well taken care of, but dont worry, here are some things you can do to improve you braking, ill cover from the simplest to the most complex. First Check fluid level. POWER STEERING RESERVOIR LEAK One common problem with mercedes W210, W163, W211 is a leaking power steering reservoir. The most common problem is a O-ring located on the back of the reservoir fluid. This O-ring goes bad due to time, usually after 5 years, dealer may charge $150 for repairing, you can do this for $10 and 45 minute time. So if you are up to it here is how. You will need: Manual Oil drain pump. HEAVY POWER STEERING So, You are having trouble with a heavy steering? I know how bad it is to have a heavy steering feeling, specially when you are in driving a comfortable Mercedes, Well no need to worry, there are a couple of things you con do before going into heavy expense. Here is whats needed: Tools Car Jack Car Stand Power steering fluid about 3 quarts needed (here are some brands that will work) CHF 11S   Prestone AS268 Mercedes OE 0012403 handheld oil pump (you can get one in AMAZON for less than $10) Before starting always make sure you work safe, when handling oil use gloves. Jack up the from of the car, both front wheels must be raised form the ground.
